Starting Friday, December 12, the Diocese of Gallup will begin to offer the viewing of the live Mass each week from Sacred Heart Cathedral.

December 12 is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Diocese of Gallup, and also the day designated as the kick-off for the year celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Diocese. A special Mass celebrated by Bishop Wall will take place at the Cathedral at 8:00 am.

The Mass will also be streamed live each Sunday and on special occasions such as Midnight Mass, Ordinations, and the annual St. Kateri Tekakwitha Feast Day Mass.

Note that the livestream is not intended to take the place of normal Mass attendance in person. Rather, it is to serve as a means of evangelization, especially for those who cannot attend a Mass due to sickness or infirmity, or for those who wish to attend a special Mass but are unable due to distance or other obligations.

The livestream is currently only available online, but efforts may be taken in the future to also broadcast on local radio and cable stations.

Homilies from each Sunday Mass will also be archived, and each event will be available for viewing after it has been recorded.
