“March 25, 2023
Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I am pleased to announce the following changes in clergy assignments that will take place on July 1, 2023.

Father Peter Short, Vicar General, Moderator of the Curia and Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish and Madre de Dios Parish in Winslow, Arizona, is assigned as Pastor of Our Lady of Mankind in Saint Michael, Arizona.

Father Cornelius Onyigbuo, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Cuba, NM, Saint Francis Parish in Lumberton, NM and Saint Anthony Parish in Dulce NM, is assigned as Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish and Madre de Dios Parish in Winslow, AZ.

As of now, the parishes Father Cornelius currently serves have yet to be assigned.  They will be assigned in the near future.

Please pray for these priests and their communities as they prepare for these transitions.  Also, continue to pray the Lord sends laborers into His vineyard to serve as priests and shepherds of souls.

May the Lord give you His blessings during these days of Lent.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

+James S. Wall
Bishop of Gallup”
