For hundreds of years, Catholics have celebrated the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7. The rosary is currently recognized as one of the most powerful prayers in the Church, second only to the Celebration of the Mass. 2019 will also mark the 102nd anniversary of the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima, who encouraged Catholics to pray the rosary every day.
If you’d like to join in public prayer with fellow Catholics to mark the month of the rosary, here is the list of rosary walks and rallies happening around the Diocese of Gallup in October 2019:
Bloomfield Rosary Rally
Place: Bishop square Park, Bloomfield NM

Place: St. Mary’s Church, Farmington NM
Date and Time: 3 pm, Sunday October 13
Gallup Rosary Walk
Place: Gather at Sacred Heart Cathedral for a walk to St. Francis Church (about 1 mile)
Date and Time: 4:00 pm, Sunday October 13
The walk will conclude with a Mass celebrated at St. Francis Parish by Bishop James Wall
